Hofmann's Sport


Although Hofmann’s new division, Hofmann’s Sport, might appear like a new direction for the company, its interest in Motor Sport is in fact a step back to the past.  The founder of this prestigious company, Fred Hofmann, cut his teeth working on the historic competition ‘Blower Bentley’s’ which ran so successfuly at Le Mans. 

The company’s connection to Motor Sport in recent times is via one of the current owners, Chris Randall, who has been involved in Motor Sport from an early age and has raced competitively himself for over ten years. Chris has vast experience across many racing formula and besides a stint as works driver for Lotus in British GT has competed and won in series including British GT, Britcar, Group-C, VdeV, AMOC, HSR and more recently and very successful run in the burgeoning series LOTRDC (Lotus On Track Racing Drivers Club). This vast experience in tuning and preparing top competition cars is the foundation for Hofmann’s Sport who have already made a big impact on the sport recording a massive 12 victories in their inaugural year in 2007.

There are several facets to Hofmann’s Sport.  We tune and upgrade Lotus cars and have several highly desirable products including race tuned suspension packages, race derived performance and safety products through to complete engine transplants.  Beyond this we draw from a depth of race experience of many different marques of car to offer suspension tuning and optimisation for any performance car.  Beyond this we can race prepare cars from the ground up, offer support at the race track, driver training and can tune vehicles to help them get the most from their performance envelope.  Our experience ranges from supporting racing newcomers in mildly tuned Lotus’s through to providing complete race support packages to ex-factory, multi-world championship winning Group-C prototype race cars.
